The vaporwave look: fullwidth text
Wide, evenly spaced text like aesthetic uses the Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms block (U+FF01–U+FF5E). These characters were created so Latin letters line up with Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters in a grid, and they became the signature of vaporwave art and music. Fullwidth also has punctuation and digits, and the generator converts spaces to the matching ideographic space.
Decorations and what they are
- ꧁ and ꧂ are punctuation marks from the Javanese script, and ༺ ༻ are Tibetan ornaments. They are popular decorative frames for names.
- ✿, ♡, ★, ✩ and ♪ are dingbats and symbols that are widely supported.
- 『』 and 【】 are East Asian brackets that add a neat frame without changing your letters.
- Separators such as ♥, ≋ and · are inserted between letters of each word, leaving the spaces between words intact.
Lookalike alphabets
Styles like Asian Style (卂乃匚), Currency (₳฿₵) and Faux Cyrillic (ДБҀ) replace Latin letters with characters from other writing systems or symbol sets that resemble them. They look fun, but to anyone who reads those scripts, or to a screen reader, they are unrelated words or symbols. Faux Cyrillic in particular can read as nonsense to Russian speakers. Use them for decoration, not for messages that need to be understood.
Tips for an aesthetic bio
- Combine one decorative style with plain text, for example a framed name and a normal description underneath.
- Use line breaks to separate ideas; most apps keep them when you paste.
- Keep your username plain so people can find and tag you.

Frequently asked questions
What is vaporwave text called?
It is fullwidth text, made from the Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms Unicode block. The characters are wider than normal letters, which creates the spaced-out vaporwave look.
Are the decorations emoji?
Most are not. Symbols like ✿, ♡ and ꧁ are ordinary text characters, so they take the color of your text. A few may display as emoji on some devices.
Is it okay to use letters from other languages as decoration?
It is common, but keep in mind that people who read those scripts will see real characters rather than English letters. Avoid lookalike alphabets for anything that needs to be read clearly.
Why does fullwidth text look normal on my computer?
Some fonts draw fullwidth Latin letters only slightly wider than normal. The effect is usually more obvious on phones.
